Well there is this book called "Imani in Never Say Good Bye". It is a really good book. Even though it has some stuff kind of mature in it. Otherwise it is a really good book. I think the main character either plays basketball or runs track. You can find this book at the local library in the young adult section.
What kind of books do you like because I like books with twists, but I don't know what kind you like so i can't really help you. =)
